Shot Influence & Planning



This is the video that is my main influence for my live performance music video. It is from the band "Heights" and the song is called "Dead Ends". The black and white and sharp cuts in the video match fittingly with the aggressive song. My favourite shot in this video is when the music starts at 0:13 and its a handheld tracking shot of the audience clapping and then it pans around to the band, This is then followed by the bands logo appearing in the centre of the frame. I think this shot is a really effective establishing shot as it captures the crowds reaction and connection with the band. I will take influence from this shot and attempt to recreate it in my video although the band I'm filming don't have as big of a fan base as "Heights" do so ill have to improvise with the shot of the crowd.
