Camera/Lighting

the location of this shot was in five street park in nuneaton. we chose this location because it has quite a "gritty" feel to it. the equipment we used in this shot was a dolly and a cannon 5d. the initial idea was to get a nice smooth tracking shot with the dolly. this proved to be harder than it looked as it was a really un even surface so the dolly kept bumping up and down which you can see in the footage. The white balance in the shot is good compared to the other 5d which was completely off.

As you can see in this shot the camera is really jumpy, this is because the area we used the dolly was not a very smooth surface. If I was to go back and redo this shot i would make sure that the floor was checked for small stones that would effect the shot.

New Wave

For this shot we were trying to be new wave and experimenting with different pans. they didn't work out the way we wanted because of the un even surface. The influence behind experimenting with different moving shots such as panning and tracking, is from Truffaut. This is because and the end of Truffaut's 400 Blows there is a really long tracking shot of the protagonist running. This kind of shot had never been seen before which is why the film had such an impact and deterred away from the mainstream cinema at the time. This footage also fulfills the brief as we are experimenting with different stylistic and production features of film.

Health & Safety

For this shot we had to be careful of things on the ground that could make the person operating the dolly trip over. We also made sure that some one was walking behind the person operating the dolly so that they would not fall over.
